Topic: Genre

We explored  Genres, how they can be used and how they can be adapted/changed so easily.

Genre=a term used to categories media texts according to a set of common characteristics or conventions

Sub-Genre=a smaller genre within a large genre

Hybrid=multiple genres used inside one project

Different Types of genres:

• Horror
• Action
• Adventure
• Comedy
• Romantic
• Western

Today’s lesson was an introduction lesson. We went over what we would be doing over the course of this year and year 13. We discussed why we picked Film Studies and our expectations for the subject.
